HQ LS & 2004 SC clip

As you should know by now Mondays is the day Mitsukai and I try to update our Ya3 performances sites. My good friend Yungboy (thanks as always, you're the best!! ^^BBB) has uploaded a high-quality livestage from 2005, and I've posted it at Mitsukai's site, Singin' for You. It's the 2005.04.03 livestage, in which Ya-Ya-yah and some other juniors sang a medley of NEWS songs with some NEWS members, namely Koyama, Kusano, and Massu. Yabu looked so handsome back in 2005! Not that he is not handsome now, but it's more like sexy-handsome, and back then he was so boyish and he had that nice, healthy tan as well... Okay, I'm rambling, so I'll shut up. LOL Click on the screencap below to see the actual frame size and quality. The screencap is not the best, but they're moving all the time, so it was hard to take a clear screencap at all, sorry. XD;;;
·
·
And I've also updated my own site: Never Stop the Music, with a 2004 performance from Shônen Club of a song called Ai nan da. Shoon was not on that SC (2004.10.03) so there's only Hikaru, Yabu, and Taiyô.

not a klutz!

I had seen Shoon being crowned King of Shônen Club back in 2002, when he guessed different kinds of tea just by taking a sip. Well, now I know Taiyô had his moment of glory too. This is from the 2002.07.21 episode of Shônen Club, more exactly from that segment called Club no Oosama, the Club King. Taiyô rides a monocycle and shows he's not the klutz everybody thinks he is. He just needs a little more self-confidence. ;-) The original SC file I have is a real media file, but I managed to make an .avi of this part (50MB) in case you want to download it. I'll try and upload the whole thing tomorrow as it's not a very big file.
·
·
I've also added to the album a couple more July scans originally posted by MIMINI again at LJH. [Right-click on the thumbnails below to download the full size pics] The first one (from Duet) has Yabu looking a bit scary weird XD , the second (Duet again) has a pic of Reon -ah, we see so little of him!-, and the third one (from Wink Up) has Yabu and Hikaru fooling with some measuring tape - doesn't Yabu look cute with that little ponnytail/bun/whatever?-, and Yabu looking all cool and mature with Hasshi by his side as you can see in the detail below.

piccies!

I guess you've all seen them already at Happy Town, but here I bring you large, unwatermarked scans snagged from LJH. =]
·
·
Some fangirly highlights on the scans...
·
I never thought there could be anything cuter than Shoon, but those glove-puppets in his hand are even cuter. Gomen ne, Shoon-kun! XD Then again perhaps Taiyô is even cuter than the puppets. LOL
·

·
And if Shoon were a girl... he'd be the fairest of them all. And isn't that brush made of coloured, Post-It sheets really original? *random*
·
·
And Yabu just can't hide his adoration for him any longer. Shoon flirts along, playing the part of the coy lady, but poor Hikaru and Taiyô are rather embarrassed. LOL
·
·
Oh, and, don't know if you've noticed but the time has come again to bid farewell to another of Shoon's pendants... long live the new one (a golden and silver feather... hmm). I wonder if the aim of these pendants is to draw your attention to his throat and that oh-so-dead-centred beauty mark. ^.^* In my case at least it works. XD

SC clips

No, there was no SC yesterday, but my good friend Yungboy (thanks as always, Tina ^^BBB) uploaded for me a few days ago two wonderful 2003 SC clips of Ya3 performances, and I've posted them at Never Stop the Music. =]
·
And in other news a very nice reader of this blog, called Eiri (thanks a mil!), has sent me unwatermarked scans of the June issue of Potato to share with you all. ^__^

PS to Sue: you were right about that Ikujinashi mp3 from 07.06.03. The link was not the right one, but it's fixed now. =]

a little surprise

Once upon a time... yeah, that long ago. XD This happened when I was taking my first steps in the fandom, over a year ago now. One day somebody posted an mp3 rip at the J-Dorama forums, asking if anybody knew which song it was. The only obvious thing was that the child whose voice was the leading voice in the song was Yabu. The song was the cutest thing ever, and ever since that day I've listened to it many times, and had kept on wondering when and where did Yabu sing that song. Well, the mystery was solved a couple of days ago. I found on a clubbox a 2004 Shônen Club I was missing (2004.04.11), and the song was there! ^o^ *flails excitedly* I can't tell you what the song's title is because the screen size of the video is pretty small (352x240 - that is, the same size of the Dailymotion clips below) and the kanji are hard to read. Sometimes the title is a line from the song, but in this case it isn't, so I have no idea what the title is, sorry. If anyone can read it, please do tell me. ^^
·
·
But that wasn't the only surprise that SC was hiding. I came across the clip below one day on Dailymotion, and had been looking for that episode ever since. I was sure it was a mid/late 2003 SC because Taiyô looks pretty young, and it's no wonder I hadn't been able to find this, because it was a 2004 SC. Anyway, it's the funniest, cutest thing ever. Several juniors, Jin, Ueda, and Koki are divided into two teams. Kame acts as MC. They play a word guessing game. I don't know what's more adorable in this clip: Shoon's puppet haircut, the weird yet cute yellow outfits him and Taiyô are wearing -they're like a crossover between toddler pajamas and a badly handmade musketeer costume-, Shoon's gesture when he gives his answer, Taiyô's awkwardness in imitating a squid, or Tôshin, who's a puddle of shyness, mistakes Koki's gestures for a duck, and is utterly embarrassed when his team loses. I don't usually upload whole SCs, but this one is just 203MB; so I thought you'd like to have it if you were missing this episeode in your collection too. It's a real media video file, so you'll need either Real Player or Real Alternative to watch it.
2004.04.11 [SC].rmvb [203MB] .001 .002 .003
·
For those of you who don't want to download the whole thing, I made an avi of the performance 2004.04.11 Yabu&juniors song.avi [44 MB] and an mp3 rip of the song.
·
And on to a completely different matter... a few days ago I posted my latest fanfic at the Shoon LJ community I'm a mod of, in celebration of the fact that we're already more than 300 members. =] So if you're not a member of it or missed it and would like to read it... click on the pic.

megaupdate

1) My very nice friend Yungboy sent to me a couple of HQ old Xmas livestages from the Ya3 show: 2004.12.19 and 2005.12.18. I've posted the second one already at Mitsukai's site, Singin' for You, and she'll post the first one shortly, so please keep an eye on the site. =] These perfomances are really worth downloading even if you have those shows already because the quality is really good and the screensize is bigger.
·
2) Yesterday I updated Never Stop the Music with the performances from Sunday's SC in which Ya3 appeared.
·
3) I've also uploaded a couple of clips that were interesting: the Takki project part and the junior league segment. Takki's project seems to advance very slowly, and we still don't know what it's going to be about, but I must say it's really enjoyable to watch. Firstly because Takki is such a nice, funny guy. Secondly because we get to see the juniors rehearsing for the show. And thirdly because there's an audition of sorts which is quite hilarious. The juniors are given several subjects to choose from and have to talk a little about them, and those who stand up to speak fail miserably. Fujigaya and chooses "senpai" (senior johnnys) and the only thing he manages to say is that he admires them. XD Then Wataru chooses "Takki & Tsubasa" and can't think of anything to say so he asks if he can change the subject to "family". LOL And then Hasshi chooses "My dream", and starts rambling about Takki and all he ends up saying is that Takki is really cool. XD I really would like to see any member of Ya-Ya-yah speak at least two words in this segment next time. Okay, they have their own show so the other juniors need some spotlight, but... I want to see some Shoon-Takki interaction at least! ;__;
·
Anyway, here's the Takki project clip, if you haven't watched it and want to watch it: (you can download it here)
·
·
In the junior league segment there was an "oeakaki fight", which is sort of like pictionary. They give one of the juniors a sentence and he has to draw the situation described so that the others will guess. [You can download this clip here]
·
·
4) And last, but not least, I've uploaded a new (old) HQ show: 2005.09.25, which happens to be one of the Brain Power game shows. =D You can download it here. I LOVE all the BP episodes. I wish they'd play that game again sometime. Don't you miss Midori? XD

SC 2007.06.10

Most boring SC ever... Ya3-wise at least. There was NO Ya-Ya-yah performance T___T ...but at least the four of them sang together in the opening medley, and the song, Arigatô, was quite nice too. It allowed them to show off in the vocal department. =] The contrast between Yabu&Taiyô's voices and Shoon&Hikaru's is sooo beautiful. ^.^*
·
I'll post some clips later from the Takki project and the junior league, and the ending song, which was Vanilla - Burn It Up again. I love that song -so upbeat-, but the boys all looked a bit tired, so it was not as good as other times either.

·
On another note, for those of you who were happy to hear about Hoshino, Goro-chan, aka NEWSHFAN, left this comment to my post (thanks so much! =] ):
·
Here's a translation of that article. Sorry, but most of the article isn't relevant, so I only translated the bits about Hoshino.
Title: "Hoshino Masaki wants to be an actor, so he interviews movie actor Matsuda Ryuhei".
Hoshino: "I've always felt that I've wanted to be an actor, but I haven't known how to go about it. What should I do now to become an actor?"
The answer is Matsuda suggests is the obvious: "Join an acting agency!!"
Hoshino Masaki: "My aim is to be able to act like Matsuda Ryuhei, with his cool yet unpretentious style."
Hoshi has worked in the entertainment industry at one point, but feels that there is no point in aiming to be anything other than an movie actor who can draw his own style. He will temporarily be stepping aside from his goal of becoming an actor, but as he continues attending university he will not let go of his dream.
The rest of the article is just Hoshino asking questions like any other interviewer would and Matsuda talking about his career.
·
So it looks like Hoshino is dreaming but still hasn't done anything to make his dreams come true. -.-UUU Ne, Hoshino-kun, take acting classes, join an acting agency! ^o^ You can't just sit and wait. XD Anyway, it was nice and interesting to hear about him and see some photos of him three years after he left JE. =]

Hoshino's dream

I thought we'd never hear of Hoshino again, but today I came across something related to him. Converse, the shoe company, is carrying out this year in Japan a campaign with the name "Catch a Star. 100 Stars, 100 Dreams", and one of those 100 aspiring stars with a dream is Hoshino Masaki, the ex member of Ya-Ya-yah. =D His dream, it seems, is to become an actor, and there's an interview with him, and the actor Ryuhei Matsuda, who gives him some advice.
·
If someone whose Japanese is better than mine feels like translating, I'm sure the whole Ya3 fandom would be very grateful. =] Weren't we all curious to know what had become of quiet, shy Hoshino? Let's hope we'll hear and see more of him soon, perhaps in some drama or movie. ^__^ ...together with Shoon even? Ah, that would be great! ^.^* Hoshino-kun, ganbatte!! d^o^b
·
Also, this makes me wonder if perhaps Hoshino has re-surfaced this year for some reason in particular... like taking advantage of the fact that Ya-Ya-yah's popularity is increasing and might debut soon? Hmmm... If you click on the pics below you can see them full size. (Is it me or is he taller than Shoon too? ^^U)
·

·

·
And if somebody volunteers to translate *is hopeful*, here are the texts in larger size:
·

·
On to other matters, reader Alice has been so nice as to upload Ya-Ya-yah's Music Station performance from 2005.08.12. Thanks a lot, Alice!!! ^^BBB It's one of my favourite MS performances too. =] I meant to post about this earlier, but I've been busy with... something I'll disclose here... probably tomorrow. ;-)
·
And last but not least... reader Yumiko wants to share a Yabu fanvideo she's made with all of you. If you like it you can download it at the fanvideos section. =]

2007.06.02 livestage

I'm totally in love with Yabu's left ear -though I imagine the right one is just as pretty =p - and Shoon's rapping -his pronounciation of the "yogh" sound in "pleasure" (the phoneme [ʒ]) is perfect! O_O, and that's no little thing because that phoneme does not exist in Japanese, so it must be hard for a Japanese person to pronounce correctly.
·
I wish it would have been just Ya-Ya-yah who had performed the song, or at least only with the J.J.Express guys, because the Morimoto brothers and Taiga's voices give the song a less mature sound. ^^U
·
Anyway... I've posted it at Mitsukai's site Singin' for You, so please head there to watch it and download it. =]

more from yesterday's SC

As promised I've posted the other performances (and their mp3 rips) involving Ya-Ya-yah at Never Stop the Music. =] I've also uploaded some random bits that I liked, like the MC corner, in which Shoon talks about those trademark momiage (sideburns) of his, but I don't understand what he says. T___T Anyone?
·
·
And a girl sent baby goat plushies for Hikaru and Yabu! A black one and white one. So cute!! ^^BBB Other than that, the O-tegami itadakimasu! segment is rather boring. They've made a couple of changes, like Nakamaru playing the part of a postman now, adding a headband with stars to Yabu's goat "cap", or what look like sunglasses (?) to Hikaru's goat "cap". Much though I like Yabu and Hikaru... it's not working, it's still boring. -__-UUU
·
·
I wish they'd think of something else, something funnier, like the juniors "theatre" KAT-TUN used to do on old Shounen Club episodes.
·
Oh, well, going back to yesterday's SC... Reon made a little appearance on the Shokura Mania segment (which was turned into Ueda Mania because KAT-TUN's Ueda was the guest)!!! ^_____^ I felt so happy to see him. And he actually said more than two words. =] His voice doesn't seem so low when you get used to it, and once again it amazed me how much of Shoon there is in him: the way he cocks his head, in that half smile... ^^ [he appears almost at the end of the clip - for some reason stupid VirtualDub wouldn't let me cut it shorter =( ]
·
·
If you want to download any of these clips, you can find them here. =]

2007.06.03 SC Ikujinashi

When I learned Ya-Ya-yah were going to perform Ikujinashi on today's Shônen Club I thought: "again?", but it was really enjoyable, and somehow a little different from their previous performances of this song. I liked it very much and Taiyô made me laugh with his martial arts moves. LOL
·
·
I've uploaded this clip [72MB] and its mp3 rip if you want to download them. =) Tomorrow I'll post other clips at Never Stop the Music.
·
PS: Almost forgot... I've reuploaded a couple old HQ shows some of you had requested: 2005.08.07 and 2005.09.04. This way, please. =]
